Sea Briganti is the visionary Founder and CEO of Loliware, an AI-driven materials innovation company pioneering the use of seaweed to tackle plastic pollution and combat climate change. With a mission to transform the plastics industry and build a thriving blue economy, Sea leads Loliware in developing sustainable solutions that are both planet-friendly and commercially viable. Growing up in Hawaii, Sea's deep connection to the ocean and coastal ecosystems sparked her lifelong passion for marine conservation. With a background in industrial design and a track record in breakthrough product development, she was sought after by major CPG companies like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Nestlé, and L'Oréal to innovate their product pipelines. This experience set the foundation for her to disrupt the status quo of single-use plastics. Under Sea’s leadership, Loliware created SEA TECHNOLOGY®, a patented materials platform harnessing the limitless potential of seaweed to develop advanced bio-resins. Victoria Piunova, Ph.D.

Dr. Piunova hails from IBM Research, where she holds the prestigious title of IBM Master Inventor. She brings over 10 years of experience in sustainable materials development for applications in biotechnology and sensing. Victoria has invented 25 issued US patents and authored more than 30 publications in peer reviewed journals. She is also a recipient of the American Chemical Society's Young Investigator Award and Young Industrial Polymer Chemist Award Victoria received her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California with Prof. Hogen-Esch and completed her post-doctoral studies at the California Institute of Technology in the group of Nobel Laureate Robert Grubbs. Victoria spends her free time traveling, skiing, running marathons and wine tasting.

Catherine Greener

Catherine Greener is the Chief Impact Officer at LOLIWARE. She brings decades of experience in sustainability, operations management, and lean manufacturing, with a strong track record of driving measurable impact across industries. Prior to joining LOLIWARE, Catherine served as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Do Good Foods, where she led the company’s carbon accounting, reporting, and sustainability strategies across operations, products, and supply chains. Catherine’s background spans hospitality, food and beverage, automotive, chemical, semiconductor, and construction industries. She has successfully led sustainability and lean initiatives for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies—delivering meaningful waste, cost, and carbon reductions. Throughout her career, she has also designed environmental bid responses for national park concessions, developed corporate sustainability metrics, and spearheaded ISO 14001 and Six Sigma programs. Catherine is also a seasoned consultant, speaker, and published author, known for delivering engaging presentations, workshops, and content focused on climate action, quality management, and continuous improvement.

Lana Lee is the Chief of Staff and Head of People Operations for LOLIWARE®. Lana has over a decade of experience managing programs, projects and people. She has held leadership and operations roles spanning the technology and higher education sectors – including Google, Sidewalk Labs, NYU and Apple. Lana graduated with honors from New York University with Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Art History, with a minor in Music Production; as well as a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs. Lana has a fondness for ziplining, dancing and trying the local hot sauce wherever she travels. She was accepted to compete in the Squid Games.

Kayla Barker is the Polymer Chemist at LOLIWARE®. Kayla received her Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford University where she held a fellowship from the Center for Molecular Analysis and Design for interdisciplinary research. Prior to graduate school, she completed her B.S. in chemistry at Texas A&M University and received the ACS Organic Division Undergraduate Award. Kayla is enthusiastic about developing sustainable materials that leverage nature’s chemical structures. In her free time, Kayla enjoys swimming, working out and baking bread.

Reeve Brandon

Global Sales Manager

Reeve Brandon is the Global Sales Manager at LOLIWARE. He has over 25 years of Sales and Management experience within Polymer and Adhesive Corporations. Reeve is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering and has served on the Alumni Board at The School of Packaging. Outside of work, Reeve enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team, walking the family dog with his wife and golfing when time allows. Reeve lives in Chicago but is an avid Detroit sports fan.

He has 15+ years of experience supporting commercial, R&D, engineering, and operations teams in polymer material selection, design, and processing. Andrew has a Bachelor's of Science in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has worked in the Thermoplastic Elastomer and Engineering Resin space, as well as the Healthcare Device Manufacturing Industry. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys motorcycle riding, skiing, hiking, gaming, reading, and spending quality time with his two cats.

Most recently, Alyssa was the Director of Technology Deployment at Full Cycle Bioplastics where she scaled food waste-to-PHA technology. Beyond her professional life, Alyssa enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring nature through hiking and gardening. She also cherishes time with family, friends and her beloved chocolate lab.

Her passion lies in collaborating with mission-driven companies dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet. Marla's work is deeply inspired by her experiences as an underwater photographer and ocean advocate. After spending 18 months traveling the globe to document innovative solutions in ocean conservation, she brings a unique perspective to her role, blending her love for the ocean with a commitment to sustainability. When she’s not crafting impactful visuals, you can find Marla freediving or surfing the waters of Maui. On land, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, creating nourishing plant-based meals that reflect her dedication to a regenerative lifestyle.

Jose Andrade

Jose Andrade is a Lab Technician at LOLIWARE. He is a graduate of San Jose State University and has an M.S. in Materials Engineering. Jose had the opportunity to collaborate with IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California as part of his Master’s project. During his time at San Jose State, he also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Additionally, he was part of the Society of Latino Engineers and Scientists (SOLESS). Prior to his Master’s program at San Jose State, Jose earned his B.S. from the University of California, Davis, where he was first introduced to engineering and scientific research through team projects and research groups. In his free time, Jose enjoys watching soccer, playing games, and being around friends and family. As part of LOLIWARE, he looks forward to contributing to a plastic-free future.

Maria José Vargas Benavides

Carbon Accounting Fulbright Scholar

María José Vargas is an environmental engineer and climate mitigation specialist with over seven years of experience in environmental project management. She has worked in Costa Rica’s hospitality and IT sectors, focusing on greenhouse gas accounting, mitigation strategies, and waste management. With experience in carbon credit projects from refrigerant gases across four continents, María José has navigated the complexities of voluntary carbon markets, environmental compliance, and international agreements such as the Montreal Protocol and the Basel Convention. She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Costa Rica Institute of Technology and is currently completing an M.A. in International Environmental Policy, specializing in Sustainability Management, as a Fulbright scholar at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Outside of work, María José loves spending time outdoors—whether hiking, reading, biking, or going for a walk—as well as swimming.

Louis E. Metzger IV, Ph.D., is a Scientific Advisor to LOLIWARE®.

Louis believes that the precise engineering of biology will enable a revolution in how humans live, work, and interact with our planet.

He is the co-founder of a stealth-mode firm and is a scientific consultant. As Chief Scientific Officer of Tierra Biosciences, he helped to build an automated, cell-free “protein printing” platform with applications in synthetic biology and in green chemistry. As a scientist at Novartis Infectious Diseases, Dr. Metzger founded and led a team that hunted for novel antibacterial molecules. Additionally Louis leads Biocaptivate, a think-tank examining the culture of science, and is a Forbes contributor.

Fascinated by the biochemical treasures that have evolved in the oceans over deep time, Dr. Metzger is delighted to help LOLIWARE solve the problem of plastics pollution.

Dr. Garret Miyake

Garret Miyake is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at LOLIWARE®.

He is a co-founder of New Iridium and Cypris Materials. He is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Colorado State University.

He performed his Ph.D.studies at Colorado State University before conducting postdoctoral research with Robert Grubbs at the California Institute of Technology.

He has been awarded the Sloan Research Fellowship, the Cottrell Scholar Award, the Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award, the American Chemical Society’s Division of Polymer Chemistry Mark Young Scholar Award, and the American Chemical Society’s Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering Journal of Polymer Science Innovation Award.

Jeff Wooster

Jeff Wooster is a member of LOLIWARE’s Scientific Advisory Board.
Formerly, he was the Global Sustainability Director for Dow Chemical’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics division. With three decades at the company, he led the Global Packaging Project, the Ocean Plastics Leadership Network and other important projects. A lifelong chemical engineer, Jeff has 45 patents, has authored numerous publications and was the President of the American Institute for Packaging and the Environment (AMERIPEN). For the last decade, he’s been focused on plastics sustainability and the issue of waste, spearheading a number of sustainability programs and leading conversations on how to build a sustainable future for our industry and the planet.

Dr. Gang-Yu Liu

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Gang-Yu Liu is a member of LOLIWARE’s Scientific Advisory Board. She received her Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Princeton University. After two years of postdoctoral research as a Miller Research Fellow with UC Berkeley, she became an Assistant Professor with Wayne State University in 1994. In 2001, she moved to the University of California at Davis (UC Davis) where she became a Professor of Chemistry in 2005. She also directs the Keck Spectral Imaging Facility, a campus core facility with UC Davis. She has over 100 publications, and numerous book chapters and U.S. Patents. Her research interests include the methodology development of 2-D and 3-D nanolithography, high-resolution material and bioimaging, and using nanotechnology to investigate and control cellular signaling processes. She is a member of the AAAS, ACS, ACBS, APS, and BPS. She received numerous awards for her research in nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology, including the Beckman Young Investigator Award, ACS Fellow, and AAAS Fellow. Comment end

Oliver B. Libby is Managing Partner and co-founder of Hatzimemos / Libby, a strategy and venture firm based in New York City. Founded in 2009, H/L is dedicated to accelerating companies, focusing on high-growth businesses that add value to society.

Mr. Libby also chairs the Board of The Resolution Project, Inc., a non-profit organization based in New York City which he co-founded in 2007. Through its Social Venture Challenges, held at leading youth conferences around the world, Resolution identifies undergraduate students who wish to launch new social ventures.

Mr. Libby has been invited to speak at Harvard, Columbia, and the United Nations, among other thought leadership venues and convenings and his work has been covered in publications including the New York Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, LinkedIn, VICE,Fast Company, Reuters, the NY Post, and The Huffington Post. Emma Jenkin

Emma Jenkin is a member of the Board at LOLIWARE®. Emma has over 20 years’ experience in finance across portfolio management, fixed income and impact investing. She is considered a climate pioneer and has led a number of domestic and global innovations across the clean energy transition, ESG investing, carbon finance and emissions trading. Initially working in investment banking, Emma also has entrepreneurial experience working directly in and with start-ups and early-stage ventures and has successfully established partnerships to accelerate innovation and product development. Emma is passionate about natural capital solutions and the amazing decarbonization potential of seaweed.

Justin Kamine has been at the forefront of sustainable and environmentally progressive technologies and food movements for the past six years. Through his angel investments and entrepreneurial talents, he is deeply involved with growing technologies that are actively transforming the agriculture world, creating a more sustainable food supply chain, eliminating food and plastic waste, and building solar energy capacity. He has been consistently featured in CNBC, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and other publications.

Justin is a managing member of Kamine Development Corporation, the Kamine family’s development office. He is also a Co-Founder and Partner at KDC Ag, a company deploying a fresh food waste conversion technology to eliminate food waste and increase sustainable farming across the United States.
